Oh, I long ago gave up any idea of having fingernails of any decent length, for this very reason. Plus I really hate getting 'stuff' underneath them, like dough when making pastry, or creams that you have to get out of a jar - yuk, yuk, yuk!
They aren't that long at all - I just caught it in and odd way. You wait until you see my crochet blog post - now that will make you laugh!! (coming soon)
