When I can't get to the allotment #2

It was the "Art of Crochet" advertised on the telly that got me started - here are some of the squares that have been made so far - will eventually be made into a large throw.

This is the leftover wool from the scarf and hat.
As you can see.....
I have started to make Granny Squares.....
Which will eventually be sown together and make a bedspread.
Just need more wool and another colour or two!

Hah!! The crochet bug has got you too, eh? I've just started learning the ripple stitch as per Attic24's tutorial - it's kinda tricky to start off but I think I understand it. Am going to make a scarf with it, I think. You will find, like me, that you're now giving all your spare money to the wool shop lady....

Totally inspired! I have got a book with 200 crochet square patterns, and am dying to give it a go. I love the way you can slot crochet into any old bag and any old spare bit of time.

Fabulous Ali, I can't wait to see yours sewn together, and mine come to that. I find the squares take longer than I thought they would, some I had to undo as they were wonky !! oh the joys of self taught crochet ! Will we ever have time for the lottie now we are hooked ( a pun there !!) on crochet. x

Mrs Jones - oh how right you are - spent £17 in the wool shop yesterday, but it's money well spent so I am happy about it - so is hubby as he says it keeps my quiet and out of trouble for hours!!
Moyra - glad to have inspired you & yes you are right, you can take it anywhere! What is your book called and who is the author - will have to look that one up!
Mo - as much as I love crochet, I will never stop going to the lotty!! I will save crochet time for times when I can't get to the allotment e.g. late at night when it's dark!! A good solution all round!!
:0) Thanks for all your lovely comments :0)
