Plot 144
The baby Asparagus grown from seed - its so tiny!

The rest of the Asparagus grown from seed

The Red Onions standing to attention!

My first marrow plant to be sent out side of the Green House and into the cloche

The 1st and 2nd Earlies - both need earthing up again!!

Plot 121
As you can see, great progress was made after a few hours from both me and Nigel on plot 121.

It was hot work moving "piles" of grass from one area to another to prepare for the plot to be rotavated, but we got there in the end.

Looks like you've made loads of progress today! Keep up the good work! The London Vegetable Garden hasn't had any sun today unfortunately, but the vegetables are all holding their own!

I've grown asparagus from seed - each year I sow a few more so that they plants won't all get too old all at once. This is the first year we can harvest properly - yum yum! I think you need to pot up the seedlings which are in the tray in your second photo before the roots get all mixed up with each other. It will be a while before you can enjoy them, but it will be worth the wait!

I'm so impressed with your asparagus - I planted some in my first year on the allotment, but forgot what I'd done and dug them up the following year... Each year I say I'm going to plant some again, as I love the stuff but like the rhubarb, I forget it again until it's back in season. Ah well, maybe next year!
